The Councilors of Andek Council have decorated Mayor Ubangoh Helly for the great job he is doing in Ngie.
Mayor Ubangoh Helly has been sparing no effort to put a smile on the faces of the people of the municipality, through the realization of impactful projects.
The councilors manifested their unwaivery support to their Mayor, by awarding him a special gift as survenir, during the March session to adopt the 2024 Administrative and Management Accounts of the council, that took place on the 27th and 28th March, 2025 at Andek.
The March session of Andek Council started with a Town Hall meeting. A meeting which gave the population an opportunity to publicly ask just any question to both the Councilors and the administration of the Subdivision. It was a Frank Talk face to face meeting between the people and their leaders.
It was an exciting experience, the first of its kind, where the Mayor and the Divisional Officer were quizzed by the population on issues of interest.
Both aurhorities took time to give very satisfying answers to the questions raised by the people they govern.
The Town Hall meeting saw the participation of the entire population of Ngie, as represented by all the members of the Village/Neighborhood Committees, traditional authorities, business operators, service heads and just any curious person.
The councilors took time to visit some ongoing projects being realized by the council.
The councilors, while adopting the 2024 accounts of the council also adopted some far reaching deliberations to improve on the living conditions of the inhabitants of the municipality and to make the council more viable.
On a sad note, thé councilors regretted the disappearance of one of them, Councilor Ndifor Humphrey, following a ceremony that took place in Mbengwi in November 2024, and whose whereabouts is not known till date. The councilors raised a motion calling on the family of Councilor Ndifor to leave the social media and get closer to the administration of Momo Division, so that they can work together to locate the whereabouts of this missing Councilor.
