Slowly but surely, the Lord Mayor of Andek council is gradually seeing his development vision for Ngie come true.
The Lord Mayor of Andek Council, Mr. Ubangoh Helly, was in Bonambufei and Abebung villages on the 3rd of January 2025, to see for himself the progress of some council projects underway in these localities.
This is true manifestation of the love the Mayor has for his people and his determination to see that all the projects he has programmed for various communities in his municipality are fully realized.
These projects include:
1. The concreting of the bad spots on the hill on Bonambufei road, after the bridge.
2. the construction of the community hall in Bonambufei and
3. the electrification of Abebung and Bonambufei villages.
The Lord Mayor was satisfied to see that the contractor for the concreting of the bad spots on the hill, has done a good job. The usual challenge drivers used to face on that stretch of the road is now over. Pressure is being mounted on the contractor, who is preparing to come back to to site, to complete the remaining tasks he still has on the said road. God’s time remains the best.
On the construction of the Community Hall, the Lord Mayor declared the previous project of 2023 abandoned.
He however assured the population of the village that he has reprogrammed another Hall for the village this year 2025. He said the tender procedure is ongoing; and it is hoped that a more competent contractor shall win the job to expedite its realization.
The villagers were encouraged to possess the project and play every role possible to help the contractor in its realization.
On the electrification project, it was realized that the cabling is ongoing and the work would have further progressed if not of the harassment by ambazonia fighters, who have repeatedly kignapped the workers. He assured the inhabitants of the two villages that the work shall be accelerated in the days ahead.
