Andek Municipality (Ngie) is composed of 19 autonomous Fondoms and two ardorates. The 19 Fondoms correspond to 19 villages which are Abebung, Abichia, Ajei, Akuwu, Andek, Angai, Angong, Azem, Bassic, Bonambofei, Bonatou, Ebang, Echia, Esaw, Etwii, Etoh, Nkon, Teze, Tinechung and the two ardorates being Ajei and Tinekooh.. Andek Council is run by an Executive composed of Mr. Ubangoh Helly Manyelle Akoba as Lord Mayor, Mr. Tcheikoh Akende John as 1st Deputy Mayor and Mrs. Ukum Florence as 2nd Deputy Mayor with a deliberative organ of 25 Councillors.

The LORD MAYOR of Andek, Mr. Ubangoh Helly, has reinstated full electricity voltage to the municipality, following many months of low voltage that was usually below 075Volts
In effect, Inhabitants of Tinekoh, ETWII, Andek and Teze that are already connected to the national electricity grid experienced great relieve today, 24th August 2024, after Lord Mayor Ubangoh Helly, through citizen participation, has facilitated the maintenance of the three phase line from Nyîn-Mbengwi to the Municipality, down to the Teze Oil Mill.

HOLIDAY JOB OFFER AT ANDEK COUNCIL
The Lord Mayor of Andek Council, Mr. Ubangoh Helly, informs the general public, in general, youths and holidays makers in particular, that Andek Council has launched the recruitment of holiday makers for holiday jobs at the Council. The exercise this year shall involve the cracking of stones to produce gravel for the concreting of some bad spots along the Andek-Scan Water road, through community participation.
The NGIE ROADS FUND COMMITTEE held a planning meeting today, 31st May, 2024 in the Andek council Hall, at Andek
The meeting was chaired by the President of the Committee, Lord Mayor Ubangoh Helly, in the presence of the representative of the state, the Divisional Officer for NGIE Subdivision, Mr. Oteh Philip BACHE.
The NGIE Roads Fund was created by Mayor Ubangoh, as a means by which the citizens of the municipality can participate in the actions of Andek council and the state in the rehabilitation of our road, which have deteriorated too much, because of the crisis, while waiting on the state and the council to do its work.

BENOIT NICAISE, the Mayor reminded councilors that following the electoral calendar of the
state of Cameroon, the mandate of the current councilors has less than one year to run. There was
therefore need to assess the progress they have made, in terms of development, for the past four
years, since they came into office in 2020.

Within the provision of the Law on Decentralization relating citizens participation
Within the provision of the Law on Decentralization, on citizens participation, an official delegation from the traditional council of Angong village was received in audience by the Lord Mayor of Andek, today 9th March 2024.
It is believed that Andek Council shall not be the same again by the end of 2024

Article 1: That as from the date of signature of this order, stray animals (cows, goats, sheep, pigs, horses,
fowls, etc.) are prohibited within the municipality of Andek.
Article 2: That, any owner of a stray animal shall be charged to pay fines as follow:
i. Each Stay cow, shall pay an impoundment fee of 5000F with an additional guarding fee of
2,000F per night.
ii. Each stay goat, sheep, fowl, horse, pig or similar animal shall pay an impoundment fee of
2000 Frs with an additional guarding fee of 2,000F per night.

MUNICIPAL ORDER ON CLEANING LANDSLIDE ALONG TINECHUNG TONANGAI ROAD
On Monday, 16th October 2023, instead of going to work on their permanent portion along the
principal road, as per Municipal Decision No 151/AC / SG/SP/2023 of 3rd Oct. 2023, the population of
Tinechung village (men, women and Children above the age of 15 years) shall participate in the clearing
of the landslide that has occurred along the Tinechung-Tonangai road, bringing along hoes, cutlasses and
digging tolls. The work shall begin at 8am.
The birth of MENGOM NEW TOWN in Andek Ngie Municipality
The people of MENGOM, Andek municipality, NGIE Sub Division have said, YES, to the vision of living on a more conducive environment.
This decision was arrived at during a meeting of over 100 local leaders of the Mengom clan, that took place in the ÀNDEK council Hall, on the behest of the Lord Mayor, Ubangoh Helly, and chaired by the Divisional Office for Ngie subdivision, Mr. Oteh Philip BACHE, on Saturday 23rd September 2023.
