NGIE ROADS FUND
Finally, work has begun on the stretch of road earmarked for concreting using funds raised by the NGIE ROADS FUND.
The Lord Mayor had explained that, in order to make maximum use of the money raised, this concreting shall only be done after the contractor doing earth works on the road would have done his work.
Now that the heavy machine has just passed the earmarked portion, the Lord Mayor, Mr. Ubangoh Helly together with the Divisional Officer for Ngie, Mr. Oteh Philip BACHE, launched the concreting of the portion of the hill, which used to be very troublesome, the red hill before Bonanyang junction, today, 3rd March 2025.
The committee incharge already bought a hand compactor, cement, gravel, metal rods, etc, for the execution of this task.
Considering how expensive this venture is, and how small the amount raised so far is, the Lord Mayor once more has called on those who have Ngie at heart to continue to donate into the account at TINEKOH Credit Union, with all confidence that the money raised shall be judiciously used only for the purpose for which it is meant.
