A mammoth crowd of Women of Andek Municipality, Ngie subdivision, turned out at the Andek municipal stadium to celebrate the 2025 International Women’s Day, today 8th March 2025.

The occasion which saw the participation of women from near and distant villages of the municipality was graced by the presence of the Divisional Officer for Ngie Subdivision, Mr. Oteh Philip BACHE and the Lord Mayor, Mr. Ubangoh Helly.

The women used the occasion to showcase their abilities in activities such as match past, traditional dances, choral singing, etc.

The women of Ngie used the opportunity to thank,
1. Her Excellency Minister Mbah Acha Rose Fomundam of CONSUPE, for her continuous support to the development of the municipality.
2. ⁠Professor Mbong Grace, SG of MINADER, for the role she is playing to bring development to the municipality, particularly in the sector of agriculture.
3. ⁠the Divisional Officer, Mr. Oteh Philipp BACHE, for the peace and security now being enjoyed in the Subdivision. And urged the Divisional Officer to intensify security campaigns in the far off villages of the municipality.
4. ⁠Mayor Ubangoh Helly, for the ongoing roads work and other projects in the municipality and urged him to pay deaf ears to the distractions in the social media.

The women called on the elected representatives of the people to be more available at home in order to participate more effectively in the affairs of the common man.

The ceremony ended with a sumptuous party offered by the women of the municipality.
