Andek Municipality (Ngie) is composed of 19 autonomous Fondoms and two ardorates. The 19 Fondoms correspond to 19 villages which are Abebung, Abichia, Ajei, Akuwu, Andek, Angai, Angong, Azem, Bassic, Bonambofei, Bonatou, Ebang, Echia, Esaw, Etwii, Etoh, Nkon, Teze, Tinechung and the two ardorates being Ajei and Tinekooh.. Andek Council is run by an Executive composed of Mr. Ubangoh Helly Manyelle Akoba as Lord Mayor, Mr. Tcheikoh Akende John as 1st Deputy Mayor and Mrs. Ukum Florence as 2nd Deputy Mayor with a deliberative organ of 25 Councillors.

The Lord Mayor of Andek Participated in the ceremony organized by MINHDU launching her 2025 BIP projects
The Lord Mayor of Andek, Mr. Ubangoh Helly, had the opportunity to join a few other Mayors of the North West Region, to participate in the ceremony organized by Her Excellency the Minister of MINHDU, to launch the BIP Projects of her ministry, for the year 2025 in Douala on Thursday, 16th Jan. 2025.
The People of NGWENJIN-Azem say thank you to the Lord Mayor of Andek Council for the gift of Water.
Speaking during the reception, which was attended by the Divisional Officer for Ngie Subdivision, Mr. Oteh Philip Bache, Mr. Ndam Aaron, an elite of the community who works in the civil cabinet of the presidency of the Republic, assured the Lord Mayor that the people of NGWENJIN, through their Neighborhood Committee, are going to possess the project and make sure that it’s effectively reaslized, amidst the security challenges in the area.
SECOND TERM 2024/2025 SCHOOLS RESUMPTION in Ngie Subdivision.
The attendance by pupils in the primary schools sector was encouraging but the teachers were very few while at the secondary sector there were few principals and few teachers present.
Slowly but surely, the Lord Mayor of Andek council is gradually seeing his development vision for Ngie come true.
The Lord Mayor of Andek Council, Mr. Ubangoh Helly, was in Bonambufei and Abebung villages on the 3rd of January 2025, to see for himself the progress of some council projects underway in these localities.
THE LORD MAYOR OF ANDEK COUNCIL ON 3rd JAN. 2025 DISTRIBUTED FREE BIRTH CERTIFICATES TO SOME VULNERABLE CHILDREN IN ANDEK MUNICIPALITY.
It was all smiles on the faces of some vulnerable children drawn from some communities of ANDEK municipality as they received their Free birth certificates issued by the Mayor of Andek council, Mr. Ubangoh Helly, following declaratory court judgments that were sponsored by the Andek Council.
The UNDP RECOVERY PROGRAMME organizes a mini-cultural festival in Andek, under the theme: Dance for Development.
This mini-cultural festival, organized at short notice, which was presided at by the Divisional Officer for Ngie Subdivision, Mr. Oteh Philip BACHE and the Lord Mayor of the Municipality, Mr. Ubangoh Helly MANYELLE AKOBA, brought together 10 traditional dance groups of the municipality to display the culture and tradition of the Ngie people through dancing.
The ÀNDEK council has adopted a budget of 720,650,000F CFA for the 2025 fiscal year.
This ambitious, people centered budget was adopted in the Andek council Hall, at ÀNDEK on the 14th Dec. 2024 during a highly attended budgetary council session that was chaired by Lord Ubangoh Helly, under the auspices of the Representative of the state, Mr. Oteh Philip BACHE, Divisional Officer for Ngie Subdivision (sitting in for the Senior Divisional Officer for Momo Division).

Community participation in their development: The Neighborhood Coordinators engage the neighborhoods to respect the Municipal cleanup campaigns every Monday. Together we can make NGIE great again
Coordinators and Traditional Authorities of Andek municipality reminded to work hand-in-clove for the development of their communities
The coming into force of Village/Neighborhood Committees is a provision in the 2019 law on decentralization, to get the people more involved in the activities of the municipal council and to take the development of their area in their own hands.
Candidates for the recruitment of nurses and paramedics in the eight Health Centers of ÀNDEK were received in an orientation meeting on 22.11.2024
The Lord Mayor explained to the applicants that, following repeated instructions from the state, only applicants with authentic certificates shall be recruited; and that the certificates submitted shall be channeled to health authorities for authentication before the result of the interviews shall be published.
The Lord Mayor together with the D.O for NGIE shared textbooks to all pupils in the Municipality
The distribution that went to pupils from many communities of the municipality- Tinechung, Etwii, ACHANG, Mbabum, Bonanyang, Mbambe, ÀNDEK, etc took place at the premises of the Andek Council in Andek on 20th Nov. 2024.

Over 2000 pupils are now successfully enrolled within primary schools in Andek Municipality
The Lord Mayor of Andek Council, Mr. Ubangoh Helly, has praised the Teachers of the Municipality, for the effort they are making for primary schools in the municipality to function in the respective communities.
This message was passed in the Council Hall in Andek, today the 1st November 2024, during the ceremony to hand over the minimum packages to the Head Teachers of the municipality.
PENDING NATIONAL IDENTITY CARDS AT ANDEK COUNCIL

whose names appears on the list, below, should come to the secretariat of the
Mayor and collect their national identity card that were withdrawn from the Police
station in Mbengwi.

The Lord Mayor of Andek Council, Mr. Ubangoh Helly Manyelle Akoba, informs the public and concerned candidates
that, following the PUBLIC NOTICE No 194/AC/SG/HS/2024, of 05th October 2024; bearing on the launch of
recruitment of nurses and paramedics by Andek Council, the following applicants have been preselected for interviews
for the recruitment of 16 nurses and paramedics, for the eight (8) Health Centres of the Municipality,
Funeral of Late Pa Etah Sammy Ambuteh at Baitei Quarter, ETWII village in Andek municipality,
Late Pa Etah Sammy was a former Deputy Mayor of Andek Council and political mentor of Mayor Ubangoh Helly.
May his soul continue to rest in perfect peace.
